Zoom Navigation Maps with BMW Wonder Wheel

How to zoom navigation maps with the BMW Wonder Wheel, and why direct map zoom isn't possible in CarPlay or Android Auto.

Before You Begin

  • Ensure the “Vertical Scrolling” option is enabled on your CHIGEE Display:
    ​ Settings → Features → RC → Enable Vertical Scrolling

  • Please note: The CHIGEE Display projects navigation maps through CarPlay or Android Auto.

    • You cannot use shortcut keys or the Wonder Wheel to directly zoom in/out within the map app.

    • This is a limitation of the projected navigation app, not of the CHIGEE Display.

To Zoom In:

  1. Move cursor to highlight the "+" symbol

  2. Short press to the right

  3. Map will zoom in

To Zoom Out:

  1. Scroll down to highlight the "-" symbol

  2. Short press to the right

  3. Map will zoom out

Note: Not all navigation apps are fully compatible with Android Auto/CarPlay zoom controls. This is an app-specific limitation, not a device issue.
