BMW motorcycles have only one 3-pin navigation interface, and this port cannot be daisy-chained (shared between multiple devices).
Accessing BMW Native Data with CGRC LIN
The CGRC LIN module must be connected directly to the BMW 3-pin navigation interface to read native data.
If your 3-pin port is already in use (e.g., connected to a Hex EZCan), the CGRC LIN will not be compatible in that setup.
Alternative Option for Occupied Ports
If your 3-pin port is already connected to a Hex EZCan or another accessory, we recommend using the CGRC CAN module for better compatibility with your existing wiring.
Installation Considerations for CGRC LIN
The CGRC LIN connects directly to the BMW Nav’s 3-pin port, which requires removing the BMW Nav cradle during installation.
Due to this direct connection, the CGRC LIN cannot be used simultaneously with:
AIO-5 Play for BMW
AIO-6 with the BMW Quick-Release Module
Summary:
If you need BMW native data and your 3-pin port is free, use the CGRC LIN.
If the port is already in use, choose CGRC CAN to avoid conflicts.
