I'm considering buying an AIO-6 with optional dashcams and have a few questions.

1) Do the dashcams work and record without having the central unit attached as I don't always need sat nav, apple car play etc?

2) I assume the dashcam continuously records and when full starts overwriting the oldest recordings? If so how long does it record before overwriting and is there a way of saving a partiular recording or part of a recording?

3) For those that have used it with the BMW control wheel is it simple and straight forward to switch from TFT screen control to Chigee and back again or does it start to get tiresome?

4) Are the dashcams easy to install or does it require some knowledge of the electronics of the bike and wiring?
