BMW Cradle Compatibility (for CHIGEE Display)

BMW Cradle Compatibility (for CHIGEE Display)

A 30-second check. Look at your BMW navigation cradle and answer two questions.

Step 1 — Do you have an eligible CHIGEE display?

Only two CHIGEE displays mount on a BMW cradle:
  1. AIO-5 Play for BMW
  2. AIO-6 with the BMW Quick-Release Module installed
Other CHIGEE models do not fit a BMW cradle. If you own one, use the CG Quick-Release ecosystem instead — it mounts to the handlebars and does not rely on a BMW base.

Step 2 — Look at the front of your cradle

No buttons on the bezel → supported.

  1. BMW Nav Prep 5/6 — the Navigator V/VI mount, identified by its key lock and a clean front bezel.
  2. BMW ConnectedRide Mount — the newer keyless latch with a motor-driven lock, fitted to many 2024–2026 models.

Buttons on the bezel → not supported.

Older Navigator cradles carry four buttons on the front bezel, usually marked +/− or page/menu. These cradles cannot hold a CHIGEE display.

NotesNo cradle at all? Many BMW motorcycles leave the factory with the navigation wiring in place but no cradle fitted, because BMW sells the cradle separately. You do not need to buy the original part — see the option below.

The CHIGEE Electromagnetic Quick-Release Cradle for BMW

Our electromagnetic cradle installs on the factory navigation mounting point and works with both eligible CHIGEE displays. It is the answer in two situations:
  • Your bike has no navigation cradle. Fit ours directly instead of sourcing the BMW original.
  • Your bike has an older button cradle. Replace it, and your CHIGEE display fits.
What you get:
  • The same BMW functions. The cradle replicates the electrical interface of the original BMW cradle, so BMW vehicle data and Wonder Wheel control work exactly as they do on the factory part. Wonder Wheel control requires SA 272 Preparation for Navigation System on your motorcycle — no cradle can add this option.
  • Keyless release. The electromagnetic latch releases your display electronically, so there is no key barrel to work with in gloves.
