Why the Chigee Display Shows Only Even Speed Values on BMW Nav Prep

Why the Chigee Display Shows Only Even Speed Values on BMW Nav Prep

The AIO-5 Play For BMW and the AIO-6 with BMW Quick Release Module rely on the BMW Nav Prep cradle to provide both power and vehicle data.

Why Only Even Numbers?

  • BMW Nav Prep outputs speed data in a format where the values must be doubled to reflect the actual vehicle speed.

  • Once doubled, the result is always an even number, meaning the CHIGEE Display can only show even-numbered speeds (e.g., 40, 42, 44).

  • This is a limitation of the BMW Nav Prep system itself, not the CHIGEE Display.

What About Other CHIGEE Models?

  • AIO-5 Lite and AIO-5 Play (standard version) do not use BMW Nav Prep for speed data.

  • Instead, they rely on other data sources, allowing them to display both even and odd speed values without this restriction.
