Notice: Direct Connection of CGRC LIN to BMW Nav Interface

Notice: CGRC LIN and BMW 3-Pin Navigation Interface Compatibility

BMW motorcycles have only one 3-pin navigation interface, and this port cannot be daisy-chained (shared between multiple devices).

Accessing BMW Native Data with CGRC LIN

  • The CGRC LIN module must be connected directly to the BMW 3-pin navigation interface to read native data.
  • If your 3-pin port is already in use (e.g., connected to a Hex EZCan), the CGRC LIN will not be compatible in that setup.

Alternative Option for Occupied Ports

  • If your 3-pin port is already connected to a Hex EZCan or another accessory, we recommend using the CGRC CAN module for better compatibility with your existing wiring.

Installation Considerations for CGRC LIN

  • The CGRC LIN connects directly to the BMW Nav’s 3-pin port, which requires removing the BMW Nav cradle during installation.
  • Due to this direct connection, the CGRC LIN cannot be used simultaneously with:
    • AIO-5 Play for BMW
    • AIO-6 with the BMW Quick-Release Module

Summary:
If you need BMW native data and your 3-pin port is free, use the CGRC LIN.
If the port is already in use, choose CGRC CAN to avoid conflicts.
