Enable Wi-Fi for Wireless CarPlay
Yes, to use wireless CarPlay, Wi-Fi needs to be enabled on your iPhone. This allows your iPhone to establish a wireless connection with the CHIGEE Display. And Your iPhone needs to be within Bluetooth range of the CHIGEE Display. You do not need to connect WI-FI manually.
You can find the Apple's official documentation
here.
If your phone is within range of known Wi-Fi networks, make sure to disable auto-join for those networks.
Auto-connecting to Wi-Fi may interfere with the CarPlay connection.
The CGHotsport-XXX WiFi channel connects automatically when initially connecting to CarPlay. This channel is essential for mirroring your iPhone to CHIGEE Display. Even if you didn't manually connect to this channel during the initial mirroring process, it's already connected.
Tapping this channel in the WiFi settings during subsequent use will display it as connected on your iPhone.
Ensure your VPN is turned off. VPN services may block communication between your phone and the CHIGEE Display.
