OBD Module Suddenly Stops Reading Data

OBD Module Suddenly Stops Reading Data

If your OBD module was previously working but suddenly stops displaying data on the CHIGEE Display — especially after your motorcycle has been parked for a while or has experienced a fault — there are a few key steps to check.

Step 1: Confirm OBD Module Connection

Check the indicator light on the OBD module:

  • Flashing blue light: The module is paired and working normally
  • Flashing red light: The module is disconnected or not transmitting data properly

Step 2: Motorcycle-Side Check

If the module is flashing blue (indicating it's functioning properly), the issue may lie with your motorcycle.
Please inspect your bike for any recent electrical issues, ECU errors, or power-related faults that may prevent the OBD interface from transmitting data.

Some common causes:

  • Motorcycle battery voltage instability
  • ECU protection or fault modes
  • Loose or corroded OBD port connection
