TPMS on CHIGEE Display: PSI/Bar, TPMS Alarms, and Sensor Modes

The CHIGEE Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) helps you monitor your motorcycle’s tire pressure and temperature in real time, ensuring a safer and more precise riding experience.

Unit Settings: PSI and Bar

The CHIGEE system fully supports both PSI and Bar units for tire pressure, as well as adjustable temperature units.
You can easily switch between them in two ways:

  • Path 1: Go to Settings > Features > TPMS, then select your preferred tire pressure (PSI / Bar) and temperature units.

  • Path 2: On the Chigee Display home screen, tap the TPMS value icon to quickly toggle between unit systems.

This flexibility allows you to choose the format that best suits your region or riding preferences.

Setting Tire Pressure Alarms

The CHIGEE Display lets you set individual pressure thresholds for the front and rear tires, helping you maintain optimal safety under different riding conditions.

Refer to your motorcycle’s user manual for specific pressure values. As a general guideline:

  • Set the high-pressure alarm (HPA) at 20–25% above your normal tire pressure.

  • Set the low-pressure alarm (LPA) at 10% below your normal tire pressure.

These settings help avoid false alarms while ensuring reliable warnings when tire pressure deviates from safe limits.

TPMS Data Sources

The system can read tire pressure data from two different sources:

  • CG TPMS: Data provided by CHIGEE’s TPMS sensors.

  • NAV: Data retrieved directly from your BMW motorcycle’s built-in tire pressure sensors. (Your Chigee Display must be powered by the BMW navigation mount, and your BMW motorcycle must be equipped with a built-in TPMS.)

You can choose which data source to use depending on your setup.

Key Indicators on the TPMS Interface

Sensor: Indicates if the TPMS sensors are paired and transmitting data.
LPA Value: Low Pressure Alarm — triggers when pressure falls below this value.
HPA ValueHigh Pressure Alarm — triggers when pressure exceeds this value.
F / BRefers to Front and Rear tire readings.
UnitThe pressure measurement unit (PSI or Bar).

System Limitations and Alerts

Currently, the CHIGEE TPMS display cannot be completely disabled on the instrument panel.
However, if your BMW already has a built-in TPMS, you can switch the data source to NAV mode to display the bike’s native tire pressure information instead.

When tire pressure is too high or too low, the system will automatically trigger a sound and visual alert.
To minimize unnecessary alarms, ensure your threshold values are properly adjusted as described above.

Summary

The CHIGEE TPMS offers flexible unit options, dual data sources, and customizable alarm settings — giving riders full control over tire monitoring for improved safety and comfort.
