Bluetooth Channels Explained: CHIGEE-XXXX vs CHIGEE-XXXX LE

When connecting your phone to the Chigee Display, you may notice that two Bluetooth channels appear. This behavior is normal.

Bluetooth Channels Explained

  • CHIGEE-XXXX
    • Used for CarPlay or Android Auto connection.
    • To successfully connect to CarPlay or Android Auto, make sure to select this channel.
  • CHIGEE-XXXX LE

    • Used for iOS ANCS (Apple Notification Center Service) connection. After pairing with this channel, you will receive notifications (such as messages or app alerts) on the Chigee Display.
    • On both iPhone and Android, when you use the Chigee Go App to download dashcam recordings, the app will show a pop-up requesting a connection to CHIGEE-XXXX LE. This is the expected behavior, as LE is used for dashcam video transfer.

Key Points

  • For CarPlay/Android Auto, always connect to CHIGEE-XXXX.
  • For notifications (iOS) or dashcam video download (iOS/Android), connect to CHIGEE-XXXX LE.
  • Seeing both channels is normal and part of how the Chigee Display handles multiple functions.
