Update 29/10/24 Voice control is partially working sometimes. Chigee have not explained how or what happens with devices which cannot handle multiple connections.
Untill then it is impossible to know whether Google or Chigee are at fault so just assume it won't work or will affect other features.
Chigee AIO-5 Lite (fw v2.9.2)
Cardo Packtalk Edge (fw 4.6)
Google Pixel 9 (fw Android 15 QPR1)
Android Auto (v: 12.7.643414-release)
Cleared all parings from AIO-5, phone and reset headset.
Connected phone to Cardo headset to (via app/BT as phone1).
Connected Phone to AIO-5 (via BT Chigee-7357) set up Android Auto.
Connected AIO-5 (via settings headset) to Cardo headset (as phone2).
Simply say Ok Google and the assistant in Android Auto responds.
Pressing the on screen button, which is what I had been trying, still doesn't work. That along with pressing the Cardo/Sena buttons may never work in AA.
If you have a different headset with only one BT connection I am not sure of the required proceedure. Just realised my old simple headset - Twiins HF3 also supports mutliple connections (phone1/2 and intercom) so would also probably work.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I know this is not specific to my devices as I have tested several others, They all work the same and are all connected correctly.
I feel like this is probably a bug in Android AA or Assistant and might actually be common. It could be happening to people in their cars but going unnoticed as the phone mic works in the relative quiet inside the car.
