Disable/Enable CGRC CAN Control with BMW Turn-Signal Button (Long-Press)

Disable/Enable CGRC CAN Control with BMW Turn-Signal Button (Long-Press)

You can temporarily disable CGRC CAN so the BMW Wonder Wheel no longer controls the CHIGEE Display, then re-enable it when needed—using a 3-second long-press on the middle button of the BMW left turn-signal switch.

Applies to: Bikes using CGRC CAN with BMW handlebar controls (after pairing).
Where: Remote Controller Settings → CGRC CAN → Status → toggle “Long-press to disable.”

NotesImportant: **Supported now on AIO-6 with firmware 1.6.6 only. AIO-5 series is not yet supported—please wait for a future firmware update.

Setup

  1. Pair CGRC CAN
Go to Remote Controller Settings → CGRC CAN and complete pairing.

  2. Enable the feature
In CGRC CAN → Status, turn on “Long-press to disable.”

Use During Riding

  • Disable CGRC CAN control (mute Wonder Wheel → CHIGEE):
Long-press (~3 s) the middle button on the left turn-signal switch.
→ CGRC CAN disabled; Wonder Wheel won’t control CHIGEE.

  • Re-enable CGRC CAN control:
Either restart the CHIGEE device or long-press (~3 s) the same middle button again.
→ CGRC CAN enabled; Wonder Wheel control restored.

Notes & Tips

  • The long-press only affects CGRC CAN → CHIGEE control; BMW instruments work normally.
  • If the long-press doesn’t respond, confirm the “Long-press to disable” switch is ON and your firmware is AIO-6 ≥ 1.6.6.
  • For zero interaction with BMW instruments on certain TFT RT/K models, consider CGRC PRO Remote (Bluetooth) as an alternative control method.
