GPS Not Working - "Error" Displayed
If you see an "Error" on the GPS Settings, it indicates that the GPS signal is not being detected. This could be due to a loose connection, a damaged GPS module, or a faulty cable.
If you just received your device and encountered this issue, please follow these steps:
1. Unplug the GPS module interface and re-insert it to see if that resolves the problem.
2. Remove the GPS module and let it sit for half an hour. Then, re-insert it to see if it works.
3. Take photos of the GPS module and cable, and send them to Chigee Support to confirm if you qualify for a free replacement.
If the "Error" appears after using the device for some time, please follow these steps:
1. Unplug the GPS module interface and re-insert it to see if that resolves the problem.
2. Remove the GPS module and let it sit for half an hour. Then, re-insert it to see if it works.
3. We recommend inspecting the GPS unit for any cable damage or accidental impact that may have caused the GPS module to malfunction.
Please note that we cannot provide free replacements for damages caused by improper use or handling. In such cases, you will need to purchase a new GPS module at your own expense.
If you updated to version 2.7.2 and encountered a GPS ERROR, please follow these steps:
1. Downgrade to an earlier version using an SD card.
2. If the GPS error persists after downgrading, please contact CHIGEE SUPPORT for further assistance.
