Introduction to CGRC CAN

The CGRC CAN module is designed to integrate with BMW motorcycles equipped with the WonderWheel, enabling safe and efficient operation of the Chigee Display without removing your hands from the handlebars.

Compatibility and Connector Options

Most BMW motorcycles with the WonderWheel come equipped with both the RDC and DWA modules, though their locations vary by model. To ensure straightforward installation, the CGRC CAN is available in three connector options:

  • 4-pin connector → For connecting to the RDC module
  • 8-pin connector → For connecting to the DWA module
  • 6-pin connector → For connecting to the DWA module

This flexibility allows you to select the version that best fits your bike’s configuration.

Installation Guidance

Our online product guides provide general recommendations as a starting point. However, since BMW motorcycles can differ, we strongly advise inspecting your own bike before purchase:

  • For example, the guide may suggest R1200RT owners use the 8-pin version to connect to the DWA module.
  • If you inspect your motorcycle and find the 4-pin RDC module is more accessible, then you should opt for the 4-pin CGRC CAN interface instead.

Important Alert

Some BMW owners may have chosen not to install certain modules at the time of purchase. Therefore, before ordering the CGRC CAN, please:

  • Carefully check which modules (RDC/DWA) are present on your motorcycle.
  • Confirm their locations to determine which connector option (4-pin or 8-pin) is best for you.
