When your headset is connected to your iPhone and your iPhone is connected to the CHIGEE Display with CarPlay, you can use Siri for navigation, calls and music. Whether you can start Siri with your voice depends on your headset model and iPhone settings, not on the CHIGEE Display.
Turn on Siri on your iPhone
CarPlay needs Siri turned on. The menu names depend on your iOS version:
iOS 27: go to Settings > Siri. Tap Requests and turn on the ways you want to start Siri by voice, then turn on Press Side Button for Siri.
iOS 26: go to Settings > Apple Intelligence & Siri > Talk & Type to Siri (on iPhones without Apple Intelligence, Settings > Siri > Talk to Siri). Choose how Siri listens for your voice, turn on Press Side Button for Siri, and turn on Allow Siri When Locked.
Start Siri while you ride
You can start Siri on CarPlay in these ways:
By voice: say "Siri" or "Hey Siri" into your headset, if your headset supports voice activation.
From the CHIGEE Display: touch and hold the button in the bottom-left corner of the CarPlay screen.
From your headset: many headsets start Siri when you press and hold the phone button. Check your headset manual for the button and how long to hold it.
Check whether your headset supports voice activation
Not every headset can start Siri by voice. Some headsets start Siri only when you hold a button. To find out what your headset supports, check its manual or ask the headset maker.
Siri answers your voice only when the engine is off
With the engine off, your iPhone's own microphone can hear "Siri" or "Hey Siri" even from a tank bag or pocket, so it can look as if your headset started Siri. With the engine running, wind and engine noise usually stop the iPhone's microphone from hearing you. If your headset doesn't support voice activation, start Siri from the CHIGEE Display or with your headset button while you ride.
You also connect your iPhone to a BMW TFT
A connection between your iPhone and a BMW TFT can change how Siri audio travels to your headset. Test Siri with the basic setup first, with your headset paired directly with your iPhone. See Use CarPlay with a BMW TFT and ConnectedRide.
