Check IMEI registration requirements for the AIO-6 LTE

Check whether local rules require your AIO-6 LTE IMEI to be registered, especially before using a local SIM abroad.

Some countries require imported cellular devices to be registered by IMEI. Where registration applies, an AIO-6 LTE may initially connect and later lose service if its IMEI is not registered.

IMEI registration identifies the display on the mobile network. It is separate from activating or registering the SIM with its carrier.

Check and register your display if required

  1. Find the AIO-6 LTE IMEI at Settings > About > Network > IMEI.

  2. Ask your carrier or national telecom regulator which registration rules apply to the AIO-6 LTE, your SIM and your use of the mobile network.

  3. If required, submit the IMEI, brand CHIGEE, model AIO-6 LTE and the other documents requested by the authorized registration provider.

  4. Wait for approval and network processing. Timing depends on the authority and carrier; use their stated processing time.

  5. Restart the AIO-6 LTE after approval. Recheck the carrier APN, active data plan and local signal if service has not returned.

Check the rules before international travel

Registration requirements are country-specific and can change. Check the destination rules before using a local SIM. A local SIM and an international roaming SIM may be treated differently.

For Chile, review the official Multibanda/SAE registration guidance and ask the carrier or authorized registration provider which procedure applies to your AIO-6 LTE. The guidance distinguishes local-SIM use from roaming; do not assume every cellular or IoT device follows the same procedure.

If an AIO-6 LTE loses service after initially working, check for an IMEI block with the carrier alongside data expiry and APN checks. See no 4G connection troubleshooting.
