Before buying a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), check both the sensor type and the space around your motorcycle's valve and brake caliper. A large caliper can interfere with the sensor or valve as the wheel turns.
If the installed sensor or valve can touch the brake caliper, that setup is not suitable. Do not buy or ride with that combination. A motorcycle absent from the lists below is not automatically compatible.
Check fitment before riding
Check the restrictions for the internal or external sensor you plan to buy.
Have a qualified installer assess the valve, wheel and caliper clearance if you cannot verify it before purchase.
After fitting according to the sensor and valve instructions, rotate the wheel slowly and check the complete path past the caliper, spokes and fork.
If there is contact or clearance is uncertain, stop using that setup and resolve the fitment before riding.
A different valve may help only if it is suitable for the wheel and gives verified clearance. It is not a guaranteed fix for every listed motorcycle. Follow the wheel and valve manufacturer's installation requirements.

If you are unsure, contact us with your motorcycle model and year, the sensor model, and clear photos of the valve and brake caliper. Check for leaks after valve work and have the wheel balance checked where required.
Use the illustration below when checking the space around the valve and caliper.
