CGRC LIN or CGRC CAN is not responding

Use the indicator light, connection type and dashboard behavior to diagnose a CGRC LIN or CGRC CAN module that does not respond.

If your CGRC LIN or CGRC CAN module does not respond, check its indicator light, power connection and pairing separately. The LED can help narrow down whether the module is powered and paired with your CHIGEE Display.

Check the module and indicator

  1. Start the motorcycle and make sure the module is installed securely.

  2. Allow the module to detect vibration, then observe its LED indicator.

  • Blue light: The module is paired with the CHIGEE Display.

  • Red light: The module has power, but pairing may not have completed.

  • No light: Check whether the connector is receiving power. If the wiring and power supply are confirmed, the module may need further diagnosis.

Check the connection and pairing

  1. Confirm the correct connector is used: CGRC LIN connects to the BMW 3-pin navigation port; CGRC CAN uses a supported DWA or RDC connector.

  2. Check that the connector is fully seated and the wiring is not loose or damaged.

  3. On the CHIGEE Display, open Bluetooth settings and confirm the CGRC module is paired.

  4. Open the Professional Dashboard and check whether the expected BMW interface or data appears.

If the module never worked

Double-check the installation and confirm that the motorcycle connector supplies power in the current ignition state. Some ports are powered only when the engine is running.

If the module stopped working

Check Bluetooth pairing again and inspect the wiring for looseness or damage. If the LED remains off after the connection and power supply are confirmed, the module, motorcycle interface or power supply may need diagnosis.

If the module still does not respond, contact CHIGEE support with your BMW model and year, module type (CGRC LIN or CGRC CAN), connector used, LED behavior and a photo of the installation.
