CGRC LIN or CGRC CAN indicator stays on after shutdown

Understand why the CGRC LIN or CGRC CAN indicator may stay on after shutdown and when it should turn off.

The CGRC LIN or CGRC CAN indicator may stay on briefly while the motorcycle and module shut down. If the light stays on continuously, unplug the module and contact us for a check.

What happens after shutdown

  • The module may remain powered briefly after you turn off the ignition while the motorcycle and module complete their shutdown process.

  • The module is vibration-activated — it only powers on after the motorcycle is started and detects movement.

  • The indicator may take some time to turn off after shutdown; it does not necessarily switch off immediately with the ignition.

If the light stays on

If the indicator light stays on continuously after shutdown:

  • The module will continue to draw a small amount of power from your motorcycle battery.

  • Although the power consumption is minimal, leaving it like this for an extended period may eventually drain the motorcycle battery.

Contact us for a module check

  1. Immediately unplug the module from your motorcycle.

  2. Take a photo of the back of the module.

  3. Send the photo to CHIGEE Support.

Our team will verify the issue. If it is confirmed as a module fault, we will arrange to send you a replacement unit.
