Using Siri with Bluetooth Headset on Chigee Display

Once your Bluetooth headset is connected to the Chigee Display, you can use Siri for voice-controlled features.

How to Enable Siri on Your iPhone

  1. Open your phone’s Settings.
  2. Go to Accessibility.
  3. Tap on Siri.
  4. Make sure Siri is enabled.

For BMW TFT Display Users

If you’re using a BMW TFT screen, please make sure to: Disconnect your phone from the BMW TFT, as it may interfere with Siri’s voice routing. Once disconnected, Siri will work properly through your headset.

The following audio connection methods are shared by the YouTuber [The Stammering Biker], based on personal testing with CHIGEE devices and BMW TFT systems.
⚠️ Please note: These are third-party configurations. CHIGEE cannot offer support or guarantee compatibility for the setups listed below. Your results may vary depending on your phone model, iOS/Android version, and headset brand.

CONFIGURATION 1: This is the simplest and by far easiest. This will be simply your phone connected to the CHIGEE devices and your headset paired directly to your phone.
Pros: Simple, Siri, Everything works when bike is switched off
Cons: No control through the BMW TFT

CONFIGURATION 2: This is where you want to connect your phone to the CHIGEE devices but you want your headset and phone paired through the BMW TFT so you can also control via the TFT.
Pros: More flexibility of control, dual notifications
Cons: Possibly distracting, no Siri, no audio with bike switched off

CONFIGURATION 3: This is where you want to use the dual channels (if supported by your headset) to have your phone paired to the TFT and your headset paired to BOTH your phone and your TFT.
Pros: Siri, audio when bike is switched off
Cons: Far more prone to issues, potential audio problems

BONUS CONFIGURATION: This is where you want to connect your phone to the TFT so you can still use the Connected Ride app to record journeys etc.
Pros: Connected Ride app works
Cons: Needs Apple Shortcuts and Automations in order to work properly

How to Activate Siri

1. Voice Activation
Simply say “Hey Siri” through your Bluetooth headset.

2. Manual Activation
Long press the button in the bottom-left corner of the screen for quick Siri activation.
