BMW K1600 comes in two mounting ecosystems. Your best CHIGEE option depends on whether your bike has the older integrated dashboard with BMW navigation cradle (Nav Prep), or the 2022+ 10.25" TFT (no cradle).

1) K1600 with Integrated Dashboard + BMW Nav Cradle (pre-TFT setup)

Mounting & power

  • ✅ AIO-5 Play for BMW — recommended. It plugs directly into the BMW Nav cradle for power/mount.
  • ❌ AIO-6 (incl. BMW Quick-Release version) — not compatible here: no suitable space/clearance around the cradle on K1600.

Data reading

Wonder Wheel control (read before buying)

  • Requires CGRC CAN (sold separately).

  • Limitation: On K1600, BMW’s OEM logic may cause the wheel to influence both the BMW instruments and CHIGEE in some contexts.

Cameras

  • AIO-5 Play for BMW: cannot add cameras.
  • If you want cameras on this cockpit:

2) K1600 2022+ with 10.25" TFT (no BMW Nav cradle)

Mounting path

  • Use the BMW 10.25-inch TFT Adapter Bracket and a standard backplate:

    • ✅ Compatible with AIO-6 Series, AIO-5 Play, AIO-5 Lite (standard backplate)
    • ✅ Fits the CG Quick-Release Module
    • ❌ Not compatible with AIO-6 with BMW Quick-Release Module or AIO-5 Play BMW (cradle) version, because those SKUs are designed to plug into the BMW Nav cradle (which TFT bikes do not have)
  • AIO-6 + TFT Adapter Bracket — best if you want larger screen/camera/LTE options/Quick-release.
  • AIO-5 Lite + TFT Adapter Bracket — camera support.
  • AIO-5 Play + TFT Adapter Bracket — works, but still no camera support.

Data & Wonder Wheel

  • Keep BMW features by adding:
    • CGRC LIN → for full data reading + WonderWheel support
    • CGRC CAN → for WonderWheel control only

Q1: Why can’t AIO-6 with BMW Quick-Release be used on the cradle K1600?
The cradle zone on K1600 lacks clearance for the AIO-6 + BMW Quick-Release stack; it blocks the cockpit/controls and isn’t a safe fit.

Q2: Can I add cameras to AIO-5 Play for BMW?
No. AIO-5 Play BMW doesn’t support cameras. Choose AIO-5 Lite or AIO-6 (with appropriate non-cradle mounting) if cameras are required.
