The right CHIGEE setup for your BMW depends on the navigation cradle or mounting interface on your motorcycle. The AIO-5 Play for BMW and the AIO-6 with BMW Quick-Release Module are designed for compatible BMW Nav Prep cradles; other mounting setups may require a different module or bracket.
Choose a setup for your BMW
The table below summarizes the main CHIGEE mounting options described in the current compatibility articles. Check the official compatibility chart for your exact model, year and factory configuration before ordering.
Your motorcycle setup | CHIGEE setup to check | Important condition |
BMW Nav Prep 5 or 6 cradle | AIO-5 Play for BMW, or AIO-6 with BMW Quick-Release Module | Wonder Wheel control and native data availability vary by motorcycle model, year and factory options. |
BMW 10.25-inch TFT without a Nav Prep cradle (example: 2024 K1600GT in the source article) | AIO-6 with CG Quick-Release Module and the BMW 10.25-inch TFT Adapter Bracket | Confirm fitment for the exact model and year. This bracket does not support the AIO-5 Play for BMW or AIO-6 with BMW Quick-Release Module. |
BMW with a 3-pin navigation interface but no Nav Prep cradle | Check whether a genuine BMW Nav Prep 5 or 6 cradle can be installed, or whether the BMW Electromagnetic Quick-Release Cradle is suitable | Confirm the motorcycle's connector and mounting space before buying parts. |
Motorcycle without a compatible BMW Nav Prep interface | Consider a standard-backplate CHIGEE Display with a compatible mounting and power setup | The AIO-5 Play for BMW is designed for the BMW Nav Prep cradle and is not a universal-backplate display. |

AIO-6 with BMW Quick-Release Module
The AIO-6 is a 6-inch display. To use the BMW Nav Prep setup described in the source article, you need the AIO-6 and the BMW Quick-Release Module. The AIO-6 includes a built-in tilt angle sensor, and camera support depends on the selected AIO-6 setup and compatible camera accessories.
Check the BMW Quick-Release Module compatibility chart before purchasing.
Understand power, data and Wonder Wheel control
Power
Compatible BMW Nav Prep cradles provide power to the AIO-5 Play for BMW and to an AIO-6 fitted with the BMW Quick-Release Module. These BMW-cradle versions do not have a built-in battery.
Native BMW data
The CHIGEE Display can show only the vehicle data that the motorcycle transmits through the supported BMW interface. Some models, especially certain motorcycles produced before 2017, may not transmit all the required data through the Nav Prep interface. If only some readings appear, the available data may be limited by the motorcycle's equipment or data interface.
Wonder Wheel control
Native Wonder Wheel control requires BMW Preparation for Navigation System (SA 272) to be activated on supported motorcycles. Some motorcycles may require CGRC CAN, and K-series or RT-series models can have model-specific control limitations. Check the model-specific compatibility information before choosing a module.
For control troubleshooting, see BMW Wonder Wheel control not working. For the K1600 and RT-series limitations, review the BMW Wonder Wheel compatibility notice.
