Do Not Mix BMW & CG Quick-Release Modules

Do Not Mix BMW & CG Quick-Release Modules

If you already own a BMW Quick-Release Module, your AIO-6 Display is configured for use with a BMW motorcycle with BMW Nav Prep.

As shown in the installation videos, both the BMW and CG Quick-Release Modules require removing and reinstalling the backplate on the AIO-6 Display using screws. While technically possible, doing so frequently presents several risks:

  • Wear and Tear
Repeatedly swapping the backplate between two mounting systems can lead to:

    • Stripped screw holes
    • Loosened or damaged mounting points
    • Reduced overall durability of the unit
  • Incompatibility
The BMW Quick-Release Module and CG Quick-Release Module are completely different products:

    • They use different mounting backplates
    • They cannot be used at the same time or mixed on the same display

If you intend to use the CG Quick-Release Module on a second bike (such as a Ducati, Yamaha, Honda), we highly recommend purchasing an additional AIO-6 Display. This ensures:

  • Each display remains properly configured and securely mounted
  • No need for backplate disassembly
  • Preserved structural integrity and water resistance
  • Long-term reliability and convenience when switching between bikes
