Shutdown Countdown & Ride Stats on CHIGEE Display

Shutdown Countdown & Ride Stats on CHIGEE Display

What this feature does
When you switch off the motorcycle engine, the CHIGEE Display enters a shutdown countdown and briefly shows ride statistics for the just-completed trip:

  • Riding time
  • Distance
  • Average speed
  • Top speed
Not included: other data points (e.g., lean angle). Data fields are not customizable.

Can I export these stats?

  • No direct export of the stats screen (e.g., to SD card) is available.
  • Camera models (e.g., AIO-6, AIO-5 Lite): When you export video in the CHIGEE GO app, you can overlay ride data on the footage.
  • Non-camera models: There is no alternative export method for ride stats.

When you might not see the countdown/stats

  1. Battery with built-in protection
If your bike uses a battery or power manager that cuts power immediately after key-off, the display powers down instantly, so no countdown and no ride stats can be shown.

  2. ACC wiring issue
If you haven’t modified the battery but still don’t see the countdown/stats, your ACC (ignition sense) line may be connected to a circuit that drops power too fast.

Best-practice wiring (summary)

  • Follow the device manual: Battery + / Battery − / ACC (ignition sense).
  • Avoid circuits that kill power instantly at key-off if you want the post-ride screen to appear.
  • Use solid grounds and strain-relief; keep power separate from high-draw accessories.

FAQ

Can I add more fields (e.g., lean angle) to the stats screen?
No. The fields are fixed and not customizable.

Can I save or export the stats screen without a camera model?
No. Only video export on camera models allows data overlays; the stats screen itself isn’t exported.

I sometimes see the countdown, sometimes not—why?
Power is likely being removed too quickly on some shut-downs (e.g., battery protection or certain ACC taps). Revisit the ACC wiring point as above.
