4G Live Not Working on AIO-6 LTE (and How to Fix It)

The 4G Live feature on the AIO-6 LTE lets you access your camera remotely — even when your motorcycle is parked. If 4G Live isn’t working, it usually comes down to installation, wiring, SIM card, or signal issues.

Key Requirements You Must Meet

To use 4G Live, all of the following conditions must be met:
  1. You must have AIO‑6 LTE (4G-enabled) with a working SIM slot.
  2. Your AIO‑6-compatible camera must be properly installed.
  3. The device must be wired correctly, including battery positive/negative and the ACC cable for remote wake-up.
  4. Both the GPS and 4G signal icons must be visible in the top-right of the device screen.
  5. Use a SIM card with active data and sufficient signal strength (better than –85 dB).
  6. the battery voltage is higher than the protection threshold.
If any of these are missing, 4G Live will not activate.

Step-by-Step Troubleshooting Checklist

Step 1: Purchase the Right Kit

  • Ensure you have both the AIO‑6 LTE display and its dedicated compatible camera.
  • A SIM card with an active data plan

Step 2: Correct Wiring & Installation

4G Live only works if the camera is installed and the device is wired properly.
  1. Connect the black wire to the battery negative (–) terminal.
  2. Connect the red wire to the battery positive (+) terminal.
  3. Connect the yellow ACC wire to a switched circuit (one that turns on/off with the ignition).
Note: If the ACC wire is missing/miswired, the display won’t auto-wake when the bike is OFF. That means Parking Monitor and 4G Live cannot operate.
Idea
Symptoms that point to ACC miswiring
4G Live only works while the bike is running and the unit is on the cradle.
After engine OFF, the device does not auto-start when vibration/trigger occurs. Parking Monitor never triggers.
Conclusion: ACC is not on a true ignition-switched circuit (or not connected).
Info
BMW Quick-Release Module owners — simple wiring test
Use this to rule out cradle/bike wiring problems:
Start the motorcycle (engine ON). With the bike still running, undock the AIO-6 from the BMW cradle.
If the AIO-6 immediately powers off: wiring to the cradle is incorrect.
If it stays on: wiring is normal (power and ACC are correct on the cradle).

Please ensure that you are using and installing the quick-release short cable that comes with the BMW Quick-Release Module. This cable is required to enable the quick-release function.
Do not use the fixed main wiring harness included in the AIO-6 package, as it does not support the quick-release feature.

Step 3: SIM Card & Network Strength & Speed

Insert a SIM card with active data directly into the AIO-6 LTE. Make sure it works in a phone first.
  1. In the CHIGEE GO App, confirm that both GPS and 4G bars are green.
  2. The signal strength must be better than –85 dB.
  3. Confirm that your SIM card has enough remaining data.
Idea
If your SIM card’s network latency is too high, 4G Live will fail. However, lower-bandwidth features such as Anti-Theft Alerts or Geofencing can still function normally because they require far less data.
If your signal is weak or unstable:
- Try another SIM card — the provider’s coverage in your area may not be sufficient.
- Move your motorcycle to a location with stronger coverage (outdoors, away from buildings).

Step 4: Check Low-Voltage Protection Settings

If your battery voltage drops below the threshold set in the CHIGEE GO app, the display will auto-disable power-hungry features to protect the battery. This can pause 4G Live, Parking Monitor, Camera Remote View, and Anti-theft alarms until voltage recovers. To adjust:
  1. Open CHIGEE GOHome
  2. Scroll down and select Feature Settings.
  3. Low Voltage Protection → set threshold (recommended 11.8 V)
  4. Save and test again
Idea
If you frequently see low-voltage events, raise the threshold slightly (e.g., 12.0 V) only if your battery and charging system are healthy.

If voltage sags quickly or the bike often shows OFF status, the battery may be weak or the wiring/ground is poor. Verify proper wiring (Battery + / − / ACC) and charging system output (typically ~14 V when running).

Step 5: Reinstall the CHIGEE GO App

If you’ve checked all the above and 4G Live still doesn’t work, reinstall the app to make sure you’re running the latest version.

Activating 4G Live

Once all conditions are met:

  1. Open the Chigee GO app.
  2. Ensure Motorcycle Status reads “Drive” or "Parking".
  3. You should now be allowed to activate 4G Live—remote live feed and bike status become available.

Motorcycle Status Description

Driving Mode (4G Live Supported)
The device is mounted, and the motorcycle's is on.
Parking Mode (4G Live Supported)
Parking Mode will be activated when these three conditions are all true: the device is mounted, the bike's ACC is turned off, and the battery voltage is higher than the protection threshold.
Sleep Mode (4G Live Not supported)
Sleep Mode will turn on only when these three conditions are all true: the device is mounted, the motorcycle's ACC is off, and the battery voltage is lower than the protection threshold.
Offline Mode (4G Live Not supported)
Offline Mode will turn on when the device is removed or when it is deactivated because of an unpaid balance.
