Test your CHIGEE Display with USB power

Use the supported USB port for a short setup test and check the vehicle power connection if the display or cameras fail to start.

On models that support USB input, use a USB-A to USB-C cable and a 5 V, 2 A power supply for a short setup test. USB power may be insufficient for cameras or GPS, so a failed USB test alone does not establish a hardware fault.

Connect the test supply

  1. Use a known-good USB-A to USB-C cable and the supported USB port.

  2. For AIO-6, use the side diagnostic USB-C port next to the SD card slot. Do not connect USB power to the rear main-harness port.

  3. Power on the display and check that it starts. If it does not, try another cable and suitable supply.

  4. If it still fails or cameras do not start, test with the model’s standard vehicle harness or compatible cradle.

Firmware updates and recovery

Use stable power for firmware updates. USB power can drop out and interrupt an update, leaving the display unable to start. Follow the firmware update instructions and the recovery procedure for your exact model.

A black-screen recovery procedure may require USB together with the normal vehicle supply. Use that combination only as directed by the model’s recovery instructions; it is not a general instruction for everyday parallel power.

Before returning to motorcycle use

Remove the test cable and close the port cover. Use the specified vehicle power connection for the installed system. If a camera remains unavailable with correct vehicle power, follow the camera troubleshooting guide.
