If your CHIGEE Display powers on through BMW Nav Prep but shows no BMW readings, check the cradle connection and supported data interface. Working power or Wonder Wheel control does not prove that the data path is working.
Note: These cradle checks apply to the AIO-5 Play for BMW and AIO-6 with BMW Quick-Release Module. For CGRC LIN, use the CGRC LIN compatibility guide.
Try these fixes first
Before checking BMW data, note whether the same installation worked before and any recent firmware, wiring or accessory changes.
Confirm your motorcycle and cradle support BMW data using the BMW setup guide.
Turn off the motorcycle before removing the CHIGEE Display.
Visually inspect accessible cradle contacts and 3-pin connections for damage, debris or a loose fit.
Refit the CHIGEE Display securely and open Advanced Dashboard. Check whether BMW readings appear.
Important: Do not clean, sand or scrape contacts yourself. Follow official BMW service documentation or consult an authorized BMW service center.
If the problem continues
The CHIGEE Display’s BMW interface helps narrow down the next check, but it does not verify every component.
The red standard interface appears
If the CHIGEE Display stays on the red standard interface, the cradle may not be transmitting BMW data. Have the cradle inspected. A known-working compatible cradle test is optional if one is available.
The blue BMW interface appears without data
A blue BMW interface without readings can indicate missing data signals or an unreliable connection. Some BMW models, especially certain models before 2017, do not provide the required data on the navigation interface.
Only some readings appear
Some BMW readings show that communication exists, but do not rule out a problem affecting other readings. Sensor equipment and available signals vary by motorcycle; check BMW dashboard data FAQs.
Data changes when the display is reseated
If BMW data appears only when the CHIGEE Display is gently pressed into the cradle while parked, have the contact fit inspected. Power can remain available despite an unreliable data connection.
If you suspect unstable battery voltage, loose vehicle wiring or an electronic control unit fault, ask a BMW dealer to inspect the electrical system.
Contact us
Contact us with your BMW model and year, CHIGEE Display model and firmware, connection method and a photo of the interface. Tell us which readings are missing and which checks you completed.
You do not need another motorcycle or repeated tests before contacting us. We’ll review the evidence before recommending the next check or replacement.
