A CHIGEE Display can show factory BMW tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) data when the motorcycle transmits that data through a supported BMW interface and the display is configured to use the correct data source. If tire pressure is missing while other vehicle data appears, check the connection, TPMS setting and motorcycle compatibility.
Check whether your setup supports BMW TPMS data
The current compatibility guidance describes factory TPMS data access for these setups, subject to motorcycle compatibility:
AIO-5 Play for BMW connected directly to BMW Nav Prep.
AIO-6 with BMW Quick-Release Module connected to BMW Nav Prep.
A compatible CHIGEE Display using CGRC LIN connected to the BMW 3-pin navigation connector. Confirm compatibility for your display and motorcycle before relying on this setup.
The CHIGEE Display does not generate tire pressure data. It can display factory TPMS readings only when the motorcycle provides those readings through the supported interface. If your BMW does not have factory TPMS sensors or does not transmit TPMS data through the interface, the readings will not appear.
Check the physical connections
Turn off the motorcycle and remove the CHIGEE Display from the cradle.
Inspect the contact points on the back of the display and the BMW Nav Prep cradle.
Check the BMW Nav Prep 3-pin connector and the motorcycle-side 3-pin connector for loose connections or visible debris.
Reinstall the display securely and check whether it sits firmly in the cradle.
Check the TPMS data source
On the CHIGEE Display, open Settings > Features > TPMS.
Check the selected data source in the upper-right corner.
If you use the BMW Nav Prep connection for factory TPMS data, select Nav.
Return to the dashboard and check whether tire pressure readings appear.
If tire pressure data is still missing
If speed, gear or other BMW data appears but tire pressure does not, the motorcycle may not have factory TPMS sensors or may not transmit TPMS data through the navigation interface. Check the equipment on your specific motorcycle and consult a BMW dealer if you are unsure.
If your motorcycle does not have factory TPMS, check whether a compatible CHIGEE TPMS sensor kit is available for your setup. CHIGEE TPMS is not compatible with TPMS sensors from other brands.
FAQs
Do you need CHIGEE TPMS sensors if your BMW factory TPMS data is supported?
No. If your motorcycle transmits its factory TPMS data through a supported interface and your CHIGEE Display is configured correctly, additional CHIGEE TPMS sensors are not required for those readings.
Why does the CHIGEE Display show speed but not tire pressure?
Your BMW may not have factory TPMS sensors, or the motorcycle may not transmit TPMS data through the connected interface.
Can the CHIGEE Display read TPMS data from another brand's sensors?
No. CHIGEE displays are not compatible with TPMS sensors from other brands.
