Power the AIO-6 through USB-C for testing

Use USB-C to power the AIO-6 temporarily for setup or testing, and check the limits before using this method.

You can temporarily power the AIO-6 through its USB-C diagnostic port for initial setup or testing. Do not use USB-C power while riding because opening the waterproof cover leaves the port exposed to water.

Power the AIO-6 through USB-C

  1. Locate the USB-C diagnostic port on the right side of the AIO-6, next to the SD card slot.

  2. Use a USB-A to USB-C cable and a power adapter or power bank rated for at least 5 V / 2 A.

  3. If the AIO-6 does not start, try a different cable and a stable power source. Avoid high-output chargers that may trigger the device protection mechanism.

USB-C power is intended for temporary setup or testing. The port cover must be open while the cable is connected, so water resistance is compromised.

If the AIO-6 does not power on or restarts

If the AIO-6 does not power on through USB-C, shuts down unexpectedly or repeatedly restarts, check the cable and power source first. These symptoms do not by themselves confirm a hardware fault.

For permanent installation and reliable use, power the AIO-6 using the included motorcycle wiring harness connected as described in the user manual, or use a compatible quick-release module.

Important: The main wiring harness port on the back of the AIO-6 cannot be powered through USB. It is designed for the CHIGEE motorcycle wiring harness.

Consider another model for USB-powered use

If you do not need camera support and want a display for a simpler USB-powered setup, consider the AIO-5 Play. Check its specifications and installation requirements before choosing a model.
