If your CHIGEE Display keeps beeping like a camera and shows a lock icon during rides, bumps are repeatedly triggering Collision Lock (the G-sensor). Lower the impact sensitivity or turn it Off to stop constant lock events.
This article applies to CHIGEE Displays with dashcam recording, such as the AIO-5 Lite and an AIO-6 with cameras.
What you’re seeing
A padlock icon appears on screen.
You hear a shutter or beep sound.
Clips are marked “locked” (protected) and won’t be overwritten by loop recording.
The dashcam’s Collision Lock (G-sensor) protects footage when it detects a sudden shock. On rough roads or off-road, Medium/High sensitivity can trigger constantly, so the device keeps locking clips and beeping.
Reduce G-sensor sensitivity
Open the dashcam view on your CHIGEE Display.
Tap the screen to bring up the on-screen menu.
Tap the Settings gear icon.
Find Collision Lock / G-Sensor Sensitivity (may appear as Vibration Lock).
Set the sensitivity to Low for street riding. On very rough terrain, you can choose Off, which stops automatic impact-triggered locking.
After lowering sensitivity, the lock icon and beeps should stop appearing constantly. Existing locked clips stay protected from ordinary loop overwrite until you unlock or delete them, or format the selected storage. Turning collision locking off stops automatic impact-triggered protection for new footage.
Save important locked clips
A locked CHIGEE dashcam clip is not a separate backup. Copy important footage to another device before clearing storage.
Important: Formatting deletes all recordings on the selected storage, including locked clips.
