Find the right guide for your CHIGEE dashcam setup, saved recordings or camera problem. For rear-traffic alerts, choose the guide for camera-based Blind Spot Detection (BSD) or SR-1 radar.
Important: If a camera cable or connector becomes unusually hot, smells burnt, melts or smokes, stop using the affected system and contact us. Do not swap connections or power it on again to reproduce the fault or make a video.
Set up recording and save footage
For a CHIGEE Display with dashcam cameras, use the task guides below. If you use an XR-1, start with XR-1 installation, recording and app setup for the controls and settings on that model.
The table below links common recording tasks on a camera-equipped CHIGEE Display to the relevant guide.
What you want to do | Guide |
Change clip length, sound recording or Fusion Output
Choose and prepare recording storage
Understand automatic recording and how storage is reused
Protect an important clip from normal loop overwrite
Show speed, location or other supported ride data in a video |
View or download your recordings
To view CHIGEE dashcam recordings, use the playback and download guide to choose the CHIGEE Display, CHIGEE GO App or a computer.
If the app cannot connect, follow CHIGEE GO App connection troubleshooting for video downloads. Back up important clips before formatting storage; locking a clip does not protect it from formatting.
Fix a camera or recording problem
Choose the guide that matches the symptom on your CHIGEE Display. Note which camera is affected and whether the problem appears in the live view, saved footage or both.
No camera image or a connection warning
For a CHIGEE camera image or connection problem, start with the matching check:
One or both cameras show no image: CHIGEE dashcam camera not working.
An AIO-6 quick-release setup shows Not Connected: check the AIO-6 camera connection path.
Colored noise, black bars, a shifted image or an intermittent picture: camera image troubleshooting.
A recording is missing
If a CHIGEE dashcam recording is missing, use Find missing recordings and save CHIGEE dashcam footage. Save any files you need before formatting storage. A live picture does not by itself confirm that a recording was saved.
The SD card is not recognized or will not format
For a microSD card problem on your CHIGEE Display, choose the message or symptom you see. Formatting erases recordings, so back up important footage first.
The display cannot detect the card: fix an SD card that is not recognized.
The display requests formatting or cannot finish formatting: fix an SD card format error.
The screen switches to the rear view
If your CHIGEE Display automatically switches to the rear camera, see how automatic rear camera switching works. Automatic rear-view switching, camera-based BSD warnings and Fusion Output are separate functions.
Check rear-traffic alerts
Choose the rear-traffic alert guide for the system fitted to your motorcycle. Camera-based BSD uses the rear camera; SR-1 uses a separate radar sensor.
Camera-based BSD
Camera-based BSD is supported on the AIO-5 Lite, AIO-5 EVO and AIO-6 with a rear camera installed. XR-2 does not support camera-based BSD. Sound alerts come from the display speaker.
Install, aim or configure the rear camera for alerts: set up camera-based BSD.
Alerts are missing or inaccurate: troubleshoot camera-based BSD.
Alerts sound too often: reduce frequent BSD alerts.
Warnings appear on the wrong side: correct the BSD warning direction.
SR-1 radar
SR-1 can work independently of a CHIGEE Display. Its external warning lights provide visual alerts without sound.
Compatible AIO-5 and AIO-6 series displays show SR-1 radar warnings. Sound alerts require a built-in display speaker; AIO-5 Play has no built-in speaker. XR-2 does not support SR-1 display pairing, so use the external warning lights with that setup.
Choose a setup or pair a display: SR-1 radar compatibility, setup and everyday use.
Radar alerts are missing or unexpected: SR-1 radar troubleshooting.
Enabling SR-1 radar on a compatible display switches off camera-based BSD alerts. Camera-based BSD and SR-1 alert sounds are not sent to a Bluetooth helmet headset.
Both systems assist rider awareness. Keep using mirrors and checking blind spots; the absence of an alert does not mean a lane is clear.
Contact us
If you still need help, contact us with the details you can safely obtain:
Your CHIGEE model and firmware version, if accessible
The affected camera or radar function and how the equipment is installed
Any exact error message; for a recording issue, the storage type and card details
The checks already completed and the result of each check
If you already have a support conversation, reply there and add only information you have not provided. Tell us if you cannot safely reach a connector; do not dismantle the motorcycle just to collect evidence.
