Where does my CHIGEE Display save dashcam recordings?

Camera-equipped displays with eMMC use internal storage without a card and switch new recordings to an inserted SD card.

On a camera-equipped CHIGEE Display with internal eMMC storage, recordings are saved to eMMC when no SD card is inserted. When you insert an SD card, new recordings are saved to the card.

EVO models do not have eMMC recording storage and need an SD card for recordings. This storage behavior does not add recording capability to a display without cameras.

What happens to existing recordings

Recordings already saved to eMMC remain there when you insert an SD card. Inserting a card does not automatically move those recordings to the card or clear the eMMC.

The internal storage may therefore still show used space after you start recording to an SD card. Save any recordings you need before formatting either storage location.

Choose and prepare a card

Use a genuine U3/V30 microSD card up to 256 GB and format it in the CHIGEE Display before first use. See SD card requirements for firmware update and model-specific needs.
