Set the dashcam microphone level
Sound Recording sets how loud your CHIGEE dashcam records sound in each clip. You can choose off or one of two recording levels. Sound is recorded by default.
Open the Dashcam interface on your CHIGEE Display.
Tap the screen to show the dashcam menu bar.
Tap the settings icon on the right side of the menu bar.
Tap Sound Recording, then choose a level. Choose off if you don't want the dashcam to record sound.
The level you choose applies to new clips. Sound Recording only affects dashcam audio. It does not change the speaker or media volume on your CHIGEE Display.
Can you reduce wind noise in dashcam audio?
Wind noise in CHIGEE dashcam audio can't be reduced with a setting on the CHIGEE Display. Changing the Sound Recording level, including choosing the higher level, does not reduce wind noise.
If you don't want wind noise in your clips, set Sound Recording to off. The dashcam keeps recording video, but without sound.
