Use the CHIGEE GO App to change XR-1 recording settings. Connect to the XR-1, open Dashcam View, then tap Settings.
Choose how the XR-1 saves video
XR-1 recording settings control video quality and camera layout. Clip length stays fixed at 2 minutes and cannot be adjusted.
Frame rate
Use Frame Rate to choose the XR-1 recording option available in the app. The XR-1 supports 1080p recording at up to 60 frames per second (fps).
Use a genuine U3-rated microSD card, up to 256 GB, as specified in the XR-1 manual. Recording time depends on the video settings; a larger card does not change clip length.
Fusion output
XR-1 Fusion Output determines whether front and rear views are saved separately or merged during recording.
Close: Save separate front and rear video files.
Camera F: Use the front camera as the main view in the merged video.
Camera B: Use the rear camera as the main view in the merged video.
Once a video is merged, you cannot switch its main and secondary views during playback. Choose Close if you want to edit the front and rear recordings independently.
Data overlay
XR-1 Data Overlay lets you turn time, speed, and latitude and longitude watermarks on or off individually. Global Positioning System (GPS) speed and location data require the optional Wired GPS Handlebar Controller.
Set automatic video protection
XR-1 collision locking protects footage during a ride; parking monitoring records triggered events after the ignition is turned off.
Collision lock
When the XR-1 detects a sudden impact or vibration, Collision Lock locks the current clip against loop overwriting.
Choose High, Medium, Low or Off. The default is Medium. If rough roads trigger repeated locks or shutter sounds, try Low; Off disables automatic collision locking.
See XR-1 clip length, GPS data and video locking for exactly which clip is protected.
Parking monitoring
XR-1 Parking Monitoring records a 60-second video when vibration triggers the dashcam while parked. Choose High, Medium, Low or Off; the default is Medium.
Parking monitoring needs constant battery power and correct ACC wiring. Low-voltage protection shuts off the XR-1 below 11.8 V. See Set up parking monitoring on the XR-1.
Adjust recording indicators and voice prompts
XR-1 indicator and voice settings change how recording status is communicated.
Recording indicator light
Use Recording Indicator Light to turn the XR-1 recording indication on or off. Turning the indication off does not stop recording.
See Can I turn off recording on the XR-1? for recording behavior.
Voice prompts
Use Voice Prompt to turn XR-1 spoken alerts on or off and adjust their language and volume. Supported languages are English, Japanese, Traditional Chinese and Korean.
