You can temporarily stop the BMW Wonder Wheel from controlling your CHIGEE Display through CGRC CAN, then restore control with the same button. Use a 3-second press on the middle button of the BMW left turn-signal switch.
Note: This feature requires AIO-6 LTE or AIO-6 Max firmware v1.6.6 or later. In the AIO-5 series, only AIO-5 Play and AIO-5 Play for BMW support it, with firmware v1.8.3 or later.
Before you start
CGRC CAN must be installed and paired with your supported CHIGEE Display. Check the CGRC CAN installation guide if pairing is not complete.
Enable Long-press to disable
Turn on Long-press to disable in the CGRC CAN settings before using the BMW button.
Open Remote Controller Settings > CGRC CAN and complete pairing.
Open CGRC CAN > Status.
Turn on Long-press to disable. Confirm that the switch is on.
Turn control off and on
The 3-second button operation affects only CGRC CAN input to the CHIGEE Display. BMW instrument controls continue to work normally.
Press and hold the middle button on the BMW left turn-signal switch for 3 seconds. The Wonder Wheel will stop controlling the CHIGEE Display through CGRC CAN.
Press and hold the same middle button for 3 seconds again. Wonder Wheel control of the CHIGEE Display will resume.
If the long press does not work
If CGRC CAN control does not turn off or on, confirm that Long-press to disable is on, pairing is complete, and your display model and firmware meet the requirements above.
For motorcycles where both displays respond together, see BMW K1600 and RT Wonder Wheel compatibility. The temporary off setting does not remove the motorcycle’s underlying shared-control limitation.
