Install and connect your CG2 phone holder

Check phone fit, connect CG2 power, mount and remove your phone, and test wired or wireless charging before riding.

Mount your CG2 (CG-2), connect its power cable, then test the phone clamp and charging before your first ride. The CG2 charging model supports wireless charging or USB-C charging, with wired charging taking priority.

Check your phone and mounting parts

The CG2 fits phones 72–86 mm wide and no more than 11 mm thick. Measure the phone with its case fitted. A plastic protective case helps increase grip.

Prepare the holder, mounting base, supplied fasteners and tools, and power cable for the charging model. Use a suitable charging cable to test USB-C output.

For the standard handlebar base, follow Install the included CG2 handlebar mount. Fit the holder securely and check full steering clearance before connecting power.

Connect CG2 power

The CG2 charging model operates from 11.5–18 V. The supplied cable uses a 3 A mini fuse.

  1. With the motorcycle turned off, connect the red cable terminal to battery positive and the black terminal to battery negative.

  2. Position the CG2 terminals beneath the motorcycle's existing power terminals, as shown in the manual, and tighten using the motorcycle manufacturer's specified terminal torque.

  3. Join the waterproof power connector and route the cable so it cannot be pinched or interfere with steering or controls.

  4. Check the CG2 indicator after power is connected. A steady green light indicates standby. If no charging starts, the light goes out after 1 minute as the CG2 enters sleep mode.

Important: Check polarity before connecting power. If you are unsure about the battery terminals or the motorcycle's tightening specification, have a qualified installer make the connection.

The CG2 can connect directly to the battery; an accessory (ACC) connection is not required. If you choose an ACC supply, the manual requires it to support more than 3 A.

With a direct battery connection, the CG2 can continue charging after the engine is turned off. Low-voltage protection stops charging when battery voltage becomes too low. Sleep after 1 minute applies when no charging is taking place.

Fit and remove your phone

Use the CG2 lower clamping arm to place or release the phone while supporting the phone with your hand.

  1. Rest the bottom of your phone in the lower clamping arm.

  2. Move the lower arm downward and tilt the top of the phone back into the holder.

  3. Release the lower arm and check that the phone is securely held. Set your viewing angle before riding.

  4. To remove the phone, support it, move the lower arm downward, and tilt the top of the phone outward. Lift the phone clear.

Test CG2 charging

Test wireless and wired charging separately on the CG2. The charging indicator and the phone should both show the expected result.

  1. For wireless charging, unplug the USB-C charging cable and fit a phone that supports wireless charging.

  2. Check for a breathing green CG2 light and the phone's charging indication.

  3. For wired charging, connect your phone to the CG2 USB-C output with a compatible cable.

  4. Check for a breathing blue CG2 light and the phone's charging indication. Wired output takes priority while the cable is connected.

If wireless charging is unstable, check the phone position and charging-coil alignment. See Troubleshoot CG2 wireless charging.

If charging still fails, contact us with your phone model, case details, power connection, indicator behavior and a short video of the problem.
