Power & mount are cradle-dependent. The AIO-5 Play (BMW) has no universal power/AMPS plate; it physically and electrically relies on the BMW Nav cradle.
2024 K1600GT with TFT (10.25") has no Nav cradle, so there’s nowhere to plug it in.
No camera add-on, no adapter to “convert” it. The BMW version is not convertible to a standard backplate unit.
Recommended, quick-release setup:
AIO-6 (LTE or Max) + CG Quick-Release Module
BMW 10.25-inch TFT Adapter Bracket (mounts above/around the TFT)
This bracket works with standard backplates (AIO-6, AIO-5 Lite, AIO-5 Play standard backplate), and fits the CG Quick-Release Module.
It does not support the AIO-6 with BMW Quick-Release Module or AIO-5 Play BMW (cradle) version because those are designed to plug directly into the Nav cradle.
Result: Fast on/off (quick-release), solid mount, and full AIO-6 features (larger screen, camera options, LTE on AIO-6 LTE).
Sell your AIO-5 Play (BMW) (it retains value for riders with Nav cradles).
For the 2024 K1600GT (TFT), purchase:
AIO-6 (LTE or Max)
CG Quick-Release Module
BMW 10.25" TFT Adapter Bracket
Mount the bracket, attach the CG quick-release, clip the AIO-6—done.
Q: Can I add a separate power cable to reuse AIO-5 Play (BMW)?
A: No. The BMW version is built for the cradle’s connector and mounting geometry; it’s not convertible.
Q: I need cameras—what should I choose?
A: AIO-6 supports cameras. AIO-5 Play (BMW) does not support adding cameras.
Q: Will Wonder Wheel control work on my K1600?
A: Wonder Wheel requires CGRC CAN (sold separately) and has model-specific limitations on some K/RT bikes. If you want zero interaction with the BMW cluster, consider CGRC PRO Remote (Bluetooth remote that controls CHIGEE directly).
