If your CGRC LIN or CGRC CAN module is not functioning as expected, please follow the steps below to diagnose the issue.
Step 1: Understand How the Module Works
The module is vibration-activated — it only receives power after the motorcycle is started and detects movement. This is by design to preserve battery life.
Step 2: Check the LED Status
After activation, observe the indicator light on the module:
Red Light: Module powered but pairing failed.
Blue Light: Successfully paired with your CHIGEE display.
No Light: Module is either not receiving power or has a hardware failure.
Step 3: Test in the Professional Dashboard
Once the module is powered:
Make sure the CGRC module has been paired in the CHIGEE Bluetooth settings.
Enter the Professional Dashboard interface on your CHIGEE display.
If you successfully see the blue BMW-style dashboard, this means the module is working properly.
Two Common Scenarios
1. Never Worked Since Arrival
Double-check installation and power wiring.
Confirm the correct connector (LIN uses the BMW Nav 3-pin port, CAN uses DWA or RDC module connectors).
Ensure the motorcycle provides power to the port (some ports are only powered when the engine is running).
2. Stopped Working After Some Use
Re-check Bluetooth pairing status in the CHIGEE settings.
Inspect for loose or damaged wiring.
Check the module's LED again — if the light doesn’t turn on, the issue may be:
Final Notes
Always confirm that your motorcycle’s connector is authentic and functional.
If the module shows no response or LED light, and all connections are confirmed correct, please contact CHIGEE Support for further assistance.
