Will It Block My View? — How to Check CHIGEE Display Fitment on Any Motorcycle
Use a quick paper/foam template test and a short clearance checklist to ensure your CHIGEE display won’t block your bike’s stock screen, warning lamps, or controls (e.g., windshield levers, switches).
Applies to: All motorcycles · CHIGEE AIO-5 and AIO-6
Screen sizes:
1) Make a fit template (2 minutes)
- Cut a rectangle to the model’s screen size above.
-
Mount it to thin cardboard/foam so it’s easy to hold.
-
(Optional) Add 5–10 mm around the edges to simulate bezel/mount.
2) Try likely mounting spots and choose the right mount
If cockpit space is tight, AIO-5’s smaller footprint is easier to place than AIO-6.
3) Do the visibility & clearance checks
Hold or lightly tape the template in the intended spot, then:
-
Sightline: In your normal riding posture, can you see all of the OEM dash/TFT and warning lights?
-
Steering lock-to-lock: Turn bars fully left/right—no contact with screen, tank, fairings, or cables.
-
Controls & levers: Ensure no interference with windshield adjusters, switchgear, key/steering lock, or fuel cap.
-
Suspension compression: Push down on bars (simulate bumps). Nothing should touch under load.
-
Glove reach & glare: Can you comfortably operate the device? Can you tilt it to minimize reflections?
-
Windshield travel (if applicable): Cycle the screen from lowest to highest—no rubbing.
If any check fails, adjust the location/height/angle, or choose AIO-5.
