Note: GPX export in the CHIGEE GO App is for the AIO-6. On the AIO-5 series, view ride tracks on the CHIGEE Display and get GPX data from the SD card instead.
On AIO-6, view ride tracks on the display or use the CHIGEE GO App to replay and share a ride. On AIO-5, use the SD-card data workflow below.
This video gives an overview of ride tracks and GPX export.
View ride tracks on the CHIGEE Display
You can check your route and ride stats on the CHIGEE Display right after a ride, without your phone.
On the CHIGEE Display, open Home Menu > Ride Track. The CHIGEE Display summarizes your ride data.
Tap the icon on the right to preview the full route.
Replay ride tracks in the CHIGEE GO App
Before you start, update the CHIGEE GO App and the AIO-6 firmware to the latest versions.
Connect your CHIGEE Display to the CHIGEE GO App.
On the CHIGEE GO App home page, tap Device > Ride Data.
Browse by date and select the ride you want.
Tap Play. The CHIGEE GO App replays the route.
Share a ride as a GPX file or photos
To share a ride from the CHIGEE GO App, open it in Device > Ride Data on the home page and choose how to share it:
GPX file: other riders can open the GPX file in a GPX-compatible app to see or follow your exact route
Photos: ride images for posting highlights
Riders in the CHIGEE Facebook group recommend MyRoute-app and Scenic for viewing GPX files. We can't give instructions for these apps, so check each app's own help resources.
Get GPX data on the AIO-5 series
On the AIO-5 series, use the ride-data files in the SD card’s datalog folder. Do not rename ordinary camera video files.
Connect the SD card to a computer with a card reader.
Open the datalog folder on the SD card.
Copy the datalog data file to your computer first, keeping the original unchanged. Change the copy’s extension from .mp4 to .txt to inspect the GPX text data. Renaming an ordinary video file does not convert it to GPX.
If you can't find Ride Data or GPX export
Not connected:Ride Data appears under Device on the CHIGEE GO App home page after the CHIGEE GO App connects to your CHIGEE Display. Connect the CHIGEE Display first.
Old versions: update the CHIGEE GO App and the AIO-6 firmware to the latest versions.
GPX file won't open: GPX support varies between apps. Ask the person you shared it with to use a GPX-compatible app.
Keep a copy of your ride data
Synced CHIGEE GO App ride data is stored on the phone. Uninstalling the app can remove that local data, so export the rides you want to keep before reinstalling.
To follow a route supplied by someone else, see using GPX routes. Importing a route and exporting a recorded ride are separate workflows.
