CHIGEE Display shows compatible navigation apps from your phone through CarPlay or Android Auto. It does not run a standalone navigation app or provide its own offline maps.
Navigate with your phone
Install a navigation app that supports CarPlay or Android Auto on your phone.
Set your route in the phone app and connect the phone to your CHIGEE Display.
Open the navigation app on the display. Keep the phone connected while using its navigation.
For offline use, download maps in a phone app that supports offline navigation before the ride. Map coverage, route calculation and offline features depend on that app.
Use a GPX route from your phone
To follow a GPX route on your CHIGEE Display, import it into a compatible navigation app on your phone and use that app through CarPlay or Android Auto. The display does not import route files directly.
Choose a phone navigation app that supports GPX import and your phone’s CarPlay or Android Auto connection.
Import the GPX file in that app, following the app developer’s instructions.
Connect the phone to your CHIGEE Display and open the navigation app in CarPlay or Android Auto.
Select the imported route on the phone or in the app’s supported display interface before riding.
Riders have suggested MyRoute-app and Scenic in the CHIGEE community. This is community feedback; check the app’s supported phone platform, subscription requirements and GPX instructions with its developer.
What the display GPS does
GPS supports functions such as time, speed and distance on the CHIGEE Display. GPS reception does not add standalone maps or direct route-file import.
Other GPS-related functions, including ride tracks or LTE tracking, depend on the specific model and feature. For a device with an external receiver, follow the GPS module placement guide.
FAQs
Can I import a GPX route into the CHIGEE GO App?
The CHIGEE GO App does not support GPX route import. Import the route into a phone navigation app that supports GPX and your CarPlay or Android Auto connection, then follow the steps above.
Can I export a ride I recorded?
Exporting a recorded ride is separate from importing a route for navigation. See ride tracks and GPX export for the different AIO-6 and AIO-5 workflows.
