If your iPhone won't connect to the CHIGEE Display over wireless CarPlay, the usual cause is an iPhone setting that blocks CarPlay or an old pairing record. Wireless CarPlay uses Bluetooth to start the connection and then runs over the CHIGEE Display's Wi-Fi network, CHIGEE-XXXX, so your iPhone needs both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. To learn more, see How wireless CarPlay connects to your CHIGEE Display.
Try these fixes first
Check these iPhone settings in order, and try connecting CarPlay to the CHIGEE Display after each one:
Bluetooth and Wi-Fi: turn on Bluetooth in Settings > Bluetooth and Wi-Fi in Settings > Wi-Fi. Keep both turned on while you use CarPlay, and turn off any VPN.
Siri: CarPlay needs Siri turned on. On iOS 27, go to Settings > Siri and turn on Press Side Button for Siri. On iOS 26, go to Settings > Apple Intelligence & Siri > Talk & Type to Siri (on iPhones without Apple Intelligence, Settings > Siri > Talk to Siri), turn on Press Side Button for Siri, and turn on Allow Siri When Locked.
Screen Time: go to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions. If restrictions are on, tap Allowed Apps and make sure CarPlay is turned on.
CarPlay: go to Settings > General > CarPlay, tap your CHIGEE Display and turn on Allow CarPlay While Locked.
Restart your iPhone and the CHIGEE Display, then connect CarPlay again.
If the problem continues
If CarPlay still won't connect to the CHIGEE Display, work through these checks.
Reset the CarPlay pairing
An old pairing record on your iPhone or the CHIGEE Display can stop wireless CarPlay from starting. To reset the pairing on both:
On the CHIGEE Display, go to Settings > Reset and reset the CHIGEE Display.
On your iPhone, go to Settings > Bluetooth and forget every CHIGEE entry, such as CHIGEE-XXXX and CHIGEE-XXXX LE.
Go to Settings > General > CarPlay, tap each CHIGEE entry and tap Forget This Car.
Turn off Wi-Fi on your iPhone, so that it isn't connected to any Wi-Fi network.
On the CHIGEE Display, open Car Link (on the AIO-6, Phone Mirror) and select CarPlay.
On your iPhone, go to Settings > Bluetooth, tap CHIGEE-XXXX and follow the prompts: tap Pair, tap Allow, then choose the option that turns on Wi-Fi and connects. Don't choose Use Bluetooth Only.
Restart your iPhone and connect CarPlay again. When it works, the CarPlay screen appears on the CHIGEE Display.
Check the Wi-Fi settings on your iPhone
Other Wi-Fi networks and some iPhone Wi-Fi settings can stop wireless CarPlay from connecting to the CHIGEE Display. On your iPhone, check the following:
Joining networks: go to Settings > Wi-Fi, set Ask to Join Networks to Off and Auto-Join Hotspot to Never.
Connectivity Assist or Wi-Fi Assist: on iOS 27, turn off Connectivity Assist in Settings > Wi-Fi. On iOS 26 and earlier, turn off Wi-Fi Assist in Settings > Cellular.
Networking and wireless: go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > System Services and turn off Networking & Wireless.
For more settings that keep CarPlay stable, see CarPlay keeps disconnecting from the CHIGEE Display.
Rename your iPhone and reset its network settings
If CarPlay still won't connect after you reset the pairing, set up the connection again from a clean start on your iPhone:
Go to Settings > General > About > Name and rename your iPhone. Use only letters and numbers, with no special characters or emoji.
Turn off your Apple Watch and disconnect other Bluetooth devices from your iPhone.
Go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Your iPhone restarts and removes saved Wi-Fi networks, passwords and Bluetooth connections.
Rename your iPhone again.
Pair your iPhone with the CHIGEE Display again and start CarPlay.
Test with another iPhone
Try wireless CarPlay on the CHIGEE Display with another iPhone. If the other iPhone connects, the cause is your iPhone's settings or iOS version. Update your iPhone in Settings > General > Software Update. If CarPlay still won't connect, ask Apple Support to check for settings or restrictions on your iPhone that block CarPlay.
