These FAQs cover music, sound and volume when you use CarPlay or Android Auto on the CHIGEE Display. The short version: your phone plays the audio, and the CHIGEE Display shows and controls it.
Music playback
Does the CHIGEE Display play music by itself?
The CHIGEE Display doesn't play music by itself. It has no built-in music apps, and you can't store music on its SD card. Play music with the audio apps on your phone through CarPlay or Android Auto, and the sound goes to the headset or other Bluetooth device connected to your phone.
Can I control music from the CHIGEE Display?
You can control music playback from the CHIGEE Display screen while your phone is connected with CarPlay or Android Auto. Your phone plays the music through the Bluetooth headset or speaker connected to it.
Can I connect speakers to the CHIGEE Display?
The CHIGEE Display doesn't support a direct speaker connection for music. Some riders have connected speakers with extra accessories, but we don't support these setups and can't advise on buying or connecting such accessories. To hear music, connect a Bluetooth headset or speaker to your phone; see Pair a Bluetooth headset with your CHIGEE Display.
Volume
Can I change the volume on the CHIGEE Display?
The CHIGEE Display can't change the volume of navigation or music apps. Adjust the volume on your phone or your headset instead.
Why won't Siri change the volume on CarPlay?
While CarPlay is connected, Siri may not change the volume for you and may tell you to use the car's audio controls. On the CHIGEE Display, adjust the volume on your headset or phone instead.
Why is the navigation voice quieter than my music?
Navigation apps often have their own voice volume, separate from your phone's media volume, and some headsets play navigation prompts more quietly. Check the voice volume in your navigation app, then see No sound in your headset with CarPlay or Android Auto.
