CHIGEE dashcams with a connected camera start recording automatically when powered on. There is no setting to permanently disable recording while the dashcam remains powered.
When recording starts and pauses
Automatic recording: Loop recording starts when the dashcam receives power.
Temporary pause: Recording may pause while you review footage on the CHIGEE Display or use a supported playback function.
Resume: Recording can resume when you leave playback or the dashcam interface, or when the motorcycle starts moving, depending on the model and mode.
These pauses are temporary and are not a permanent recording-off setting.
Stop recording completely
If you need to stop recording for maintenance or storage, power off the dashcam or disconnect its camera cable. Follow the product's installation instructions and do not disconnect wiring while the system is powered.
