If your CHIGEE Display does not recognize a microSD card, check that the card is compatible and seated correctly, then format it in the display. Formatting erases the files on the selected card, so back up any footage you want to keep before formatting.
Check and format the card
Turn off the CHIGEE Display, remove the card and reinsert it firmly.
Power on the display and open Settings > Storage.
Select the SD card format option and follow the on-screen instructions.
If the display still does not recognize the card, check the card specifications and try a known-good compatible card.
Use a genuine card with supported capacity and speed specifications. See Choose a microSD card for your CHIGEE Display for card requirements.
If the card works in the display but not on a Mac
Some 128 GB, 256 GB or 512 GB U3 cards formatted in a CHIGEE Display may not be recognized by Mac computers running macOS Sonoma, even though the card can still be read on Windows. This can be a compatibility issue between the card format and macOS handling, rather than a failed card.
Try accessing or exporting the files on a Windows PC first. An advanced macOS Terminal workaround has been shared by a community member, but it is not an official CHIGEE procedure. Only use Terminal commands if you understand how to identify the correct disk and mount point; choosing the wrong disk can affect other data.
For that community workaround, see the original video guide. CHIGEE cannot provide direct support for this third-party workaround.
If the card is still not recognized
Contact CHIGEE support with your display model and firmware version, card brand and capacity, a photo of any error message, and whether the card works on another computer.
