Use an external charger or power bank that supports USB Power Delivery (PD) to charge your motorcycle battery through the TR100. You are charging the motorcycle battery, not a battery inside the TR100.
Choose the power source
TR100 battery charging supports up to 100 W. Actual power depends on the USB source, cable and charging conditions. A 20 W charger cannot provide 100 W, and its wattage alone does not establish that it is suitable for your battery and setup.
A USB-A source that supports Quick Charge (QC) can be used for maintenance charging. Lower-power sources take longer; the TR100 does not provide a fixed time to recharge or restart a motorcycle.
Check Choose a USB cable for the TR100 and TR100 battery compatibility before charging.
Start and finish battery charging
Confirm the battery's voltage, chemistry and permitted charging requirements from its label and manufacturer. Confirm the corresponding TR100 battery setting before proceeding.
Unplug the charging cable before changing the TR100 charging mode. Press the button to select battery charging mode; the indicator is steady blue.
Connect the compatible external charger or power bank. A breathing blue light indicates battery maintenance charging.
The manual also provides a fast battery charging mode, shown by a fast-breathing blue light. Follow the mode-switching instruction to unplug the cable before changing charging modes.
When finished, disconnect the charging source before using the button to return to USB output mode.
For a depleted motorcycle battery, the manual says an external power adapter can initiate battery charging without first switching modes. Confirm the battery type and source compatibility before using this feature.
If charging fails or a dashboard warning appears
Do not assume a motorcycle warning light means the USB charger is simply too weak. Disconnect the external charging source and check the warning through the motorcycle's instructions or a qualified technician before trying again.
For help, contact us with your motorcycle model and year, battery label and chemistry, charger output profiles, cable rating, TR100 mode and indicator behavior, and a photo of the dashboard warning. These details help distinguish battery, charging-source and vehicle issues.
