Choose a USB cable for the TR100

Match your TR100 USB cable to the charging direction, power-source protocol and required wattage.

Choose a USB cable that supports the charging protocol and power you intend to use with the TR100. A USB-C connector by itself does not confirm the cable's power rating.

Check the complete charging setup

  1. Decide whether you are charging a USB device from the motorcycle battery or charging the motorcycle battery from an external source.

  2. Check the external source or connected device for supported USB Power Delivery (PD) profiles and power requirements.

  3. Check the cable manufacturer's stated power and current rating. To use the TR100's 20 V / 5 A profile, the cable must support 5 A and at least 100 W.

  4. Connect the equipment and check the TR100 light pattern and the charging result. The lowest supported limit in the setup can restrict available power.

For battery charging, see Charge your motorcycle battery with the TR100. For phones, tablets and laptops, see Charge USB devices with the TR100.

If charging fails, contact us with the cable specification, power-source output label and connected equipment model.
