A compatible BMW cradle accepts the AIO-5 Play for BMW or an AIO-6 fitted with the BMW Quick-Release Module. Check the exact cradle before assuming that mounting, power, data and control will work.
Supported models
The table below identifies the CHIGEE Display configurations used with supported BMW cradles.
CHIGEE Display | Required backplate or module |
AIO-5 Play for BMW | Built-in BMW cradle connection |
AIO-6 Max or AIO-6 LTE | BMW Quick-Release Module |
Other CHIGEE Display models need their own supported mounting arrangement. Use the BMW setup guide before choosing another bracket.
Identify the cradle
Look at the front bezel of the BMW cradle. Use the model and locking mechanism to confirm the identification.
Cradle | Identification | Mounting result |
BMW Nav Prep 5 or 6 | Navigator V or VI mount with a mechanical key lock and no front-bezel buttons | Supported with the CHIGEE configurations above |
BMW ConnectedRide keyless mount | Motor-operated lock and no front-bezel buttons; fitted to many 2024–2026 models | |
Older four-button Navigator cradle | Front-bezel buttons marked with plus, minus or page/menu functions | Not supported |
The cradle-identification photo below is a visual reference. Confirm the exact part if the buttons or lock differ from these descriptions.
What you need without an original cradle
The BMW Electromagnetic Quick-Release Cradle is an option for supported installations with a compatible BMW connector and sufficient space. Use its supplied Ø12–16 mm crossbar clamp.
The electromagnetic cradle is not a generic two-wire 12 V mount. It does not add vehicle data or control functions that the motorcycle lacks.
Follow the electromagnetic cradle installation guide. The K1600GT with a 10.25-inch TFT lacks the required installation space.
