BMW readings on your CHIGEE Display depend on the motorcycle’s sensors and the data sent through its supported interface. Some AIO-6 data is recorded for video playback instead of appearing on the riding dashboard.
BMW data and missing readings
The CHIGEE Display can show only the BMW readings supplied through the connected interface. A missing value alone does not establish a display fault.
Lean angle and other readings
The AIO-6 Max and AIO-6 LTE have built-in tilt angle sensors. Other CHIGEE Display models need the motorcycle to transmit lean angle through the supported interface.
A BMW motorcycle may lack the sensor or may not send a particular reading through its navigation interface. Examples include some readings on the 2013 and 2016 R1200GS and R1200GS Adventure; other models may also be affected.
Brake and turn-signal icons
Supported AIO-6 setups can add BMW brake-light and turn-signal data to dashcam recordings. These icons do not appear on the riding dashboard or real-time camera preview.
Review the full recording in the CHIGEE GO App or the downloaded video. Compatible cameras must be installed, and the motorcycle and connection must transmit those signals.
Speed and engine speed
BMW speed values and the CHIGEE Display’s engine-speed scale have different limits.
Speed shows only even numbers
BMW Nav Prep supplies speed values in a format the CHIGEE Display doubles, which can produce even-numbered readings. This behavior comes from the BMW Nav Prep data format.
The standard AIO-5 Lite and AIO-5 Play use other speed sources and do not have this same restriction.
The RPM bar stops at 8,000
The Professional Dashboard scale ends at 8,000 revolutions per minute (RPM). Above 8,000 RPM, the numerical reading can continue increasing while the bar or needle stays at its maximum.
The Professional Dashboard has no option to extend the bar scale to 12,000 RPM.
Check missing data
For missing BMW data on the CHIGEE Display, check the motorcycle’s supported readings, the cradle or accessory connection, and any selectable data source.
If the issue remains, contact us with the values that appear and the values that are missing. Include your BMW model and year, CHIGEE Display model, firmware and connection method.
Use BMW data troubleshooting if all readings are missing, or the BMW tire pressure guide for factory tire pressure.
FAQs
Does a missing BMW reading mean the CHIGEE Display is faulty?
A missing reading can result from unavailable sensors, motorcycle configuration or data not sent through the interface. A display or connection issue may still need investigation.
Can I enable every missing reading in Settings?
A setting cannot create BMW data that the motorcycle does not send. Select the correct source where available, then check support for the required reading.
