If phone mirroring (CarPlay/Android Auto/HiCar/CarLink) feels unstable or video transfers are slow/failing, manually switching the 5GHz Wi-Fi channel can help.
Available now: AIO-6 Beta firmware v1.7.5, AIO-5 Beta firmware v1.7.7
Coming soon: AIO-5 Lite & XR-2 (feature will be added via future updates)
Because 5GHz Wi-Fi channel rules and interference vary by country, phone brand, and environment, performance can differ from rider to rider. We do not recommend a single “best” channel—please test channels one by one and keep the most stable option.
What to Do If Your Connection Isn’t Stable
- Select a different Wi-Fi channel
-
Reconnect CarPlay/Android Auto/HiCar/CarLink or retry the video transfer
-
Test stability, and try another channel if needed
Tip1: If everything is working well, there’s no need to change channels.
Tip2: Channel switching is available only on 5 GHz Wi-Fi and Global version devices (non-Japan models). It works only when 2.4 GHz AP mode is OFF—if 2.4 GHz mode is enabled, the Channel Switching option will not appear.
If you’ve updated to the required firmware but can’t find it, go to CarLink → Settings (gear icon) → turn off “2.4G AP.”
How to install beta firmware
- On your Chigee Display, go to Settings → System Update.
