Manual Wi-Fi Channel Switching for More Stable Phone Mirroring & Video Downloads

We’ve added Manual Wi-Fi Channel Switching to help improve the stability of wireless mirroring and video transfers—especially if you experience failed connections, stutter/lag, or random disconnects.

Because 5GHz Wi-Fi channel rules and interference vary by country, phone brand, and environment, performance can differ from rider to rider. If your connection isn’t stable, you can now:

  1. Select a different Wi-Fi channel

  2. Reconnect CarPlay/Android Auto/HiCar/CarLink or retry the video transfer

  3. Test stability, and try another channel if needed

Tip: If everything is working well, there’s no need to change channels.


How to install beta firmware

  1. On your Chigee Display, go to Settings → System Update.
  2. Enable “Check for beta firmware”.
  3. Tap Check update and follow on-screen instructions to download & install.
  4. Reboot the device after installation completes.
